Building full-stack intelligence
Engram is an applied AI research lab. We design and deploy systems that integrate models, memory, reasoning, and execution into coherent architectures that operate over time.
Our work spans the full stack—from hardware and accelerators to models and the integration layer that makes them work together.
The Problem
Model scaling is converging
The last phase of AI progress was driven by scale: larger models, more data, more compute. That phase is now compressing. Frontier models are converging in capability. Open-weight models and distillation techniques have narrowed the gap.
As a result, raw model capability is no longer the primary differentiator. The limiting factor has shifted to how models are used: how they reason, how they remember, how they interact with tools, and how they improve through use.
Our Approach
Full-stack intelligence
Intelligence requires more than models. It requires hardware, accelerators, architectures, and the integration layer that makes them work together. We build across the full stack—and we build tools that help us build better tools.
This recursive approach means each generation of our systems accelerates the development of the next. Our research infrastructure is itself an Engram system.
The stack
Applied by Design
Research shaped by deployment
Engram is deliberately applied. Our systems are developed and tested in real environments—academic and enterprise settings where correctness, auditability, and reliability matter.
These deployments expose constraints that do not appear in benchmarks: partial information, changing objectives, and the need for human oversight. This feedback loop informs our research.
What we optimize for
Benchmarks are inputs, not endpoints.
